Problem is, Thunder Racing doesn't exist. So you can't buy the T-Rex from them. You can buy a 242/248 110+2 cut on XE-R lobes from Comp Cams, which is the same thing.
I'd recommend going to EPS which is owned by Geoff Skinner. He worked at Thunder and designed the T-Rex. He actually doesn't care for the profile. He'd sell you a 236/248 111 and it'll make more power with EPS lobes.
The Hellion from FTI is a 244/248 112 and would really shine in a 383 or 402/408 with the 4" stroke.

I am the designer of the TRex. As Jake mentioned, I am not particularly fond of the TRex because it has an extremely peaky power delivery. Some of my newer designs deliver power over a broader range while still delivering the high peak numbers like the TRex is noted for.
If you are interested in getting a genuine TRex I can still do that cam or discuss something that might work better for your particular build. I can be reached at (225)751-8500 or by email at geoff@engpwrsys.com

Talk to Geoff and get something better ground on a better core. He now has his cams ground from higher quality materials.
I have one of his older grinds back when he did use Comp and I fear I am about to have to pull my cam again and replace it with another. This will make 2 Comp cam failures for me, 2 for my dad's big block, 1 for a friend who is also on this site, and 1 for another friend who is not on this site. I'm done with Comp Cams for camshafts, period.

OP, pick up the phone and talk to this guy. He'll spec a cam designed specifically for your mods and goals. Geoff is one of the greatest guys I've ever had the pleasure to do business with, multiple times mind you.

I know a guy who has the trex cam in his Camaro along with 4.11 gears and and a fast intake. It does pretty damn good in all out WOT and drag racing but that's about it.
