Guide to starting or replying to threads

If you are starting a thread, MAKE SURE YOU POST IT IN THE CORRECT SECTION. Example: fuel, exhaust, transmission, drive accessories, suspension, etc, DO NOT go in the internal engine section.

State what vehicle, year, engine, transmission, mileage, condition and any modifications or add-ons that’s been installed. We can’t help you if we don’t know what you have.

Keep it short and to the point. Don’t drone on with long paragraphs, nobody’s gonna read them.

Try to be accurate and let us know what led up to your problem and what you’ve tried to fix it.

If people make suggestions, try them and report on the results. Ignoring suggestions is a great way to get yourself ignored. Same if people ask you questions. Answer them.

Don't expect instant responses. Sometimes it takes a day or two for people to respond.

Don't make duplicate threads in different sections.

If you’re replying to somebody’s thread, make sure you’ve read all the posts so you don’t give duplicate answers. Keep it short and sweet, to the point.

If somebody, including the OP, becomes combative or nasty, don’t fuel the fire, say nothing and step away. Only add to a thread what’s relevant to the car questions & answers in the thread.

Don’t poke fun at people who aren’t as articulate, can’t write or spell as good as you. Let’s help, not tease, hurt or bully people.
