Wondering about 243's

I was cleaning the garage and found these rebuilt LS6 heads. These are the #243 heads that I believe went on The Corvettes. I remember getting them because they had the triangle type casting below the spark plug holes on the outside. Seems I had read that they were different than the 243's that had the regular semi-smooth casting marks in the same place. Now I can't remember what was special about this triangle marks. Any one else remember these?

i saw something about that being a certain mark of a specific casting company and that those heads would be more prone to cracking but i think i was reading about LS3 heads, not sure if it applies to the 243s as well.

nevermind, i just realized what you were talking about, i thought you meant a small marking made in the casting to signify the caster. so ignore that ^^

They're totally and completely worthless. How much you want for them? :smokin:
