Default Pushrod length checker inconsistent.

Let me just say im sorry for bringing this thread up for the millionth time. Ive looked and I didnt find anybody with this problem.

I have a 05 LQ9. Called up Texas Speed and got L92 CNC ported and milled heads cambers are 68cc. Texas Speed grind cam 225/230 grind .617/.612 114 LSA, ls7 lifters, roll master timing chain set, Texas speed pushrods 7.4 length. LS3 rockers with Comp Cams Trunion set, and all the hardware, etc to make this all work.

Now this issue I have is my PR checker at zero lash on the intake valve with the exhaust just starting to open. The reading I get is 7.275. Seems very short. Same with exhaust. Now Ive seen the count your turns from zero lash method and gave that a try with the PR checker in place, and other pushrods at different lengths.

Intake
7.40 Pushrod Texas Speed=2 turns
Stock pushrod=1 5/8 turns
7.375 pushrod=1 3/8 turns
7.350 pushrod=1 1/4 turns

Exhaust
7.40 pushrod=2 turns
Stock pushrod=1 5/8 turns
7.375 pushrod=1 1/2 turns
7.350 pushrod=1 1/8 turns.

If one turns is .047 preload what is up with my pushrod checker at zero lash? Why is it saying so short. I know I must be missing something. Any recommend PR length is also welcomed based on my measurements. As well as preload. Thanks

Best way is get zero lash with your adjustable and then if you don't have one go to Harbor Freight and get a 8" caliper gauge and measure what you have when you take it out. Add desired preload and order. IIRC Manton pushrods are actual end to end length
