Now yet another year later, I found the culprit. Life got in the way and the car got put on the back burner. Here is a little cam bearing carnage for everyones enjoyment

Similar symptom here.
How was the block?
Was it rear bearing or other position?

Sorry to see that kind of problem. We had a similar low oil pressure issue with our C5 Zo6. In taking a hard look at the oiling system we developed 3 inexpensive products that will improve your oiling systems performance and reliability. If interested we have all the info on how each one will improve your oil system here.

Nice looking parts, however its already been confirmed my problem is not from either of those issues.

Thanks Roadrunner. I was just showing you products that help keep unfiltered oil out of your bearings to help prolong bearing life since you had a bearing issue and your engine was apart. Good luck with the new build!

Thanks
Christian

Sorry for the late replies. Block was said to look fine by the machinist I took it to to have checked out, but this was just our visual inspection. They run a pretty busy schedule over there so I told them not to rush getting around to it. I haven't heard back as to whether or not it actually checked out but Im pretty confident that the block will live to see another project. As for the bearing, it was number 4 if counted from the front of the engine.

Thank you,

Way to try and sell **** on my thread about a bearing issue.......

Just kidding, I actually already have your oil barbell installed in my new motor (nice piece by the way, fit like a glove and much nicer than the stock plastic POS) and a pickup tube hold down from another company as well. Luckily, the last piece of the puzzle being the oil filter bypass that you showed is something that could be added later on if I wanted to. I always use good filters and change them and the oil regularly so the bypass plug might not be necessary for me. But who knows, I might buy one just for the hell of it since I already have the other two things.
