Experiment: Cam Motion Low Lash Solid Roller with stock rocker arms

Yup I have a portable tire air pump that also has a hose made for blowing up river rafts and in the past I've hooked it up to a hookah and pumped smoke into the intake manifold that way. I think its 5-6psi so it's perfect for that.

Quick update, nothing major.
Got a new computer and have been getting EFI Live lined back out. I loaded in some corrected injector data, fixed a vacuum leak at my catch can, checked the other bank lash, and put thread sealant on all the intake rocker arm bolts. I also found a couple dry cracked injector orings so I replaced all those too.
Was going to do some logging runs to correct the tune and found that it's logging incorrectly due to some conflicts with units (defaulted back to metric instead of imperial when I reloaded the software).
Ran out of daylight so I need to get the computer logging correctly again, touch up the VE and MAF to get fueling back in line, redo a RAFIG, and then I should be ready to schedule a dyno appointment. After the changes I've got a surge and the car wants to die at hot idle...pretty sure it's because of lack of idle airflow through the IAC now that there is no vacuum leak supplying additional air.
Can't wait for track season!

In scantool, goto PIDs tab (which shows the pids you will be logging), and do this:
on pids you want to be Metric (MAP, MAF, ...), go rightclick->Metric;
on pids you want to be Imperial (VSS, IAT, ECT, ...) go rightclick->Imperial.

In tunetool, open your tune file, go Edit->Configure Display Units, and by clicking on the column headings (Data, Row, Col) you can find all instances of a unit and set them (as a group) to Metric or Imperial (by rightclicking and setting Data, Row, Col units)...
you want all air pressure in kPa, airflow in g/s, speed in mph, temperature in F...

yeah it's something in the scan tool, my tables for the CALC.VET switched over after you told me what files to copy the other day, but when I do a log those tables fill with illogical numbers
now that I think about it, it might have been showing cell counts instead of the data averages...I was in a hurry because I was giving people a ride to dinner so as soon as I saw it wasn't logging correctly I just turned it off for the time being

They still show for me?
Sorry for lack of updates, I have been fighting a severe idle surge which started after my last post. Chased my tail left and right for weeks...I think it's lined back out now...somehow my tune file seems to have gotten corrupted so I back tracked to the oldest tune I had and did a full flash and it's working again so far.
If all goes well I could be hitting the track Sunday. Also will be scheduling some dyno runs as soon as I know 100% the tune is good to go.

Previous best was 11.46 and 7.25
Right now my fuel is rich in the low 12s and I'm still trying to figure out shift points. I think it's going to like what I started with best at 6900 1-2 and 6800 2-3.
We were fighting a headwind today but the air was excellent. I think it might have another .1 in it on a good day with the small issues lined out. Either way I'm happy.
I also would be curious what the adjustable rockers and a tighter lash setting would net. Baby steps though. I need to hit the dyno next and finish fine tuning. It feels a lot faster than before on the street.
Another problem I was fighting today is the car would hook but then once the power came on hard at 5500 it started glazing the tires through the top of first. Once this resulted in violent wheel hop.
It's definitely making more power and I wouldn't go back to hydraulic at all.

Full slip. I also had a few 11.41 and 11.42s due to hitting some VE cells on the hit that were low rpm and high load I couldn't tune for so fuel trims were positive and the car was adding about 6% fuel for the run.
On this pass fueling was still in the low to mid 12s. In the past it's ran best with 12.8:1
443 ft DA with a partial head wind
Previous best was in 590ft DA. So I would say this shows a definite power gain. Just not sure at what point the ole 10hp =.1 starts to diminish but I would guess eeking towards 10s would fall into that area?
Video of a different pass, 11.42@118 on this one:
