Anyways more updates on my progress so now I have removed the valve covers I hasd to fight with one on the driver side\

Alright guys I was able to find out that it was the oil pressure switch I went ahead bought one from Amazon for about 25 bucks hopefully I'll have it here soon right now I'm fighting on taking off the power steering brackets with the power steering pump I'm since I can only move it little by little I have my head gaskets coming in tomorrow and my hopefully studs will be here by Wednesday so far so good I will start my turbo build soon does anybody recommend for me to get Springs I will not push it beyond 6700 rpm and we'll be using a 66 millimeter turbo

I have removed the pushrods I will be taking pictures of them shortly can anyone assist me in getting the studs in the manual on it is very generic can someone walk me through the process

So i was finally had time to take the head off


As you can see there a brown film on the water passage what is that?? Ill be putting my 317 heads ln today

Not sure but make sure you get all the water out of the head bolt holes so you don't crack the block. A straw on the end of a shop vac works great.

Great idea gagliano i will do that i had clean both ideas already clean the surface and remove some gunk but since i dont have a garage i have maybe half hourrbof day light

Well I took out as much of the water as I was tighten down my new arp studs I saw little drops of water coming out. New head gasket in I have to say I have never bleed so much putting a new gasket in. I am now in the reassembly stage trying to put valve covers in and coils sorry no more picture.

If you got studs you shouldn't have to worry about cracking the block. They only go hand tight, the the nuts get torqued.

Well Im getting her button up umm can anyone tell me is there a way to get the truck manifold to go in I kept trying for like an hour and no look. I even tried to put the stocker back in and nothing couldnt clear the flange on the stocker I want this running asap

Truck manifold will not fit in F-car.

Then all these guys doing the ls1 truck manifold how did they do it???? hmmm it has to fit 100's of guys have to be doing it for their turbo build

Truck manifold will not fit in F-car (look at how cowl overhangs engine).

may be talking about exhaust manifolds, for the turbo charge side.

Yeah the exhaust manifolds i was trying to get it in its impossible so i will pht the stockers in then get a turbo k member to ease the fitment

Alright guys I was finally able to finish the only thing that came up on startup was my power steering was leaking and my abs inop light came on if anybody can help me I guess diagnose what's going on we can take it from there but so far running great has open headers for now since again I'm working in a parking lot
