Default Best heads for lq9

Hi, I have a 97 corvette which i recently lq9 swapped due to blowing the ls1. Im trying to find the best heads to get to around 500 to 600 hp. im planning on using a fast 102mm intake and throttle body as well.

So you'll be shooting for around 500 rwhp...maybe a bit more. You're gonna need a true aftermarket casting to get those numbers. TFS, MMS, and Mast are some of the best. My buddy makes 500 rwhp on his LS2 GTO with Mast heads, big cam, and ported Fast 92

No problem. You'll also need a really free flowing exhaust along with all the other bolt ons. You're keeping it a stock 370ci I presume?

Gotcha. My 370 for instance is around 450 rwhp but that's with budget heads

Oh ok I was looking at the ls3 heads and having them machined and ported but wasn't sure if that was the best option/bang for my buck

MMS 235s out of the box with lighter valves, MAMOFIED FAST 102,
CAMMOTION HR 227*/231* .620"/.600" LSA114*+2, 11.0:1 Comp.
Hopefully you have quality 1 7/8" LTs. Should be good for about
520+ RWHP with great driving manners and wicked throttle response.

NW 102 TB will tune easier/better.

346" can make around 500 RWHP with MMS220s and the above cam
In a M6 C5.
good luck

Talk to tony mamo or Martin Smallwood, they'll take care of you, they've done it numerous times.

Do you want a DD or race car if you want 500 to the wheels it wont be very streetable according to what I have read. I ran into the same dilemma and have decided to go turbo for those reasons

500 rwhp for a 6.0 isn't going to be bad in terms of drivability if it's setup right
