Default Head gasket part # question

Hopefully I am not overthinking this.

I am building a LM4 to replace the LS1 in my 68 C10.

I had the LM4(GenIII) bored from 5.3 to 5.7, GenIV floating rods, Mahle pistons, Z06 cam/springs. Plan to use the 862 heads until I get my hands on a set of 243's(waiting for a friend to decide to sell them).

My question is what head gaskets to run, obviously the 5.3 gaskets will not work. I ordered Fel-pro 9284PT gaskets, package says they fit 97-01. I am now thinking that I would be better off with the newer MLS gaskets, Fel-pro 26190PT.

The 9284PT gaskets are still sealed and returnable if needed. Actually it is the head set 9284PT1.

Basically, I need a head set that has gaskets for heads(5.7 bore), LS1 intake and center bolt valve covers.

Opinions please...

Checkout this thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...placement.html If the heads aren't notched use the GM MLS head gaskets for the 5.7. They are only around $40 bucks for the pair. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...-head-gaskets/
