408 LS Stroker NA Cam choice?? Which one?
So 2 cam profiles have been recommended by very well know cam profilers ;-) not going to name names! BUT the profiles are IMO alot different yet both seem to think they will make 500+ rwhp an be very drivable.
Specs:
236/248 .620/.603 114+3. Said power would come in early too... Hmmm
OR
XFI 230/236 .612/.6xx 114+0. Seems power will def come in early on this IMO
What would you choose?!

The first choice has 14 degrees of overlap. I would not want this in a street car/6 speed. The second choice has 5 degrees of overlap. If it were me either go with the second choice or have something spec'd in the 8-10 degrees of overlap range. 14 degrees would be a little much for me especially in a 6 speed car.

Out of those 2 cams listed I'd do the 1st one for sure. I have 15 degrees overlap on my cam and with 4.10s and a 6-speed it drives just fine. What's your compression?

That's exactly my compression as well. Just my opinion but you have some nice flowing heads with a great intake and good compression, and having 408 cubes on top of it the setup would be very suitable to a fairly aggressive cam like the first one.

Gotcha. I don't know man a 80 hp jump might be a little generous lol. I'd go back to the same dyno to get a fair comparison. Don't see to many people running Howards cams on these cars. That's what I'm running as well, and really like it
