No the injector o rings that came with the intake definitely go into the fast manifold (not the fuel rail side, fuel rail side always uses the same size as stock). It does seem weird about the spacing. You should still be able to get the injectors all the way in still. Maybe put something on the O-rings to lubricate them a little and see if they go in further. Gently rotate them as you press them in. I have different rails so I haven't played with the stock style rail with this but the height is the same as stock though with mine too.

A little bit of silicone on the o rings will lube them going in and help them vacuum seal

Anyways after that I got the intake installed (after a few tires with the back two bolts on the drivers side). I tried to use the fuel rail stop bracket from the ls6 intake but didn't have enough thread engagement to get it to work, oh well I guess that's just some weight reduction haha.
I also followed mamo's advice from the general FAST 102 thread and tightened the bolts past 7 ft-lbs. Not sure how tight I got them as I was just using a 3/8" ratchet but I deformed a washer or 2 (ones I got at the hardware store as none were included). I figure I got them all torqued similarly though so I'm gonna hope for the best.
My water pump clearance just about disappeared when I tightened the manifold bolts but to the best I can tell it will work.
Pics to follow, I have a few small things to finish up then measure for pushrods and get this thing going!

Does 7.25-7.26" pushrods sound like it would be close on this setup. I've taken the measurements at TDC on 2 strokes and these were the largest numbers so that should be when its on the compression stroke. That length also includes the .035" preload for my Johnson 2110 lifters. Measurements on cyl 3 are 7.217 and 7.224. I'm gonna grab some more measurements but just wondering if these sound close.
Heads (317 castings) were milled .003" for flatness, stock MLS gaskets, and Johnson 2110 lifters.

Well I finished all my measurements, see below. The results seemed consistent and using the 22ft/lb method I got about 5/8 of a turn after 0 lash indicating that I had ~.030" preload when I was trying for .035" (using the assumption that 1 turn = .047"). I think I will go ahead and order some Manton series 3 in 11/32 at a nominal 7.26". This seems on the short side, but it was consistent.

Get them from Tony. I've ordered two sets from him. I mix and match between them...

And just measure each one and match close. I ordered them all same length. But there's variance.
I would almost recommend doing either a high/low or high/mid/low grouping if you are off by any significance. Although it doesn't look too far off. But a grouping of 7.252 and of 7.268 might not be bad.
And on the injectors. You have to get them down in there. Put some grease on them to get them down in there. I have both a set of Bosch 48mm 52lbs from a GT500 and the L9H Flex Fuel 34mm 42lbs from Delphi. The Delphi had 11mm o-rings and it was not tight. The Bosch had 14mm o-rings and that's the proper size. I use a FIC Billet spacer on the Delphi. But that looks like a 60mm LS1 injector. You have to get it down in the manifold for the rail spacer to work. The LS2/3 rail and the FAST use a 48mm injector combination, so your spacer should be about 12mm as a check.
Also, if you don't have flow-matched injectors, you'll need to find which bank is running leaner (most likely passenger side) and tune for it. The driver's side will be richer. But it'll be safer.
If you get flow-matched injectors, bank-to-bank will run a little closer. But I'd swap the wideband back and forth as a check (or the narrowbands will show you when you log in CL).

Also, you get the benefit of them being made to your caliper measurements not the gauge lengths which usually makes them longer than you measured.
Those numbers do look short. You might want to double check the lifters are definitely on the cam and not hanging above the cam in thevtrays or something.
