Mike, did you go for a ride yet??

I think Vince is getting old. Not only did he not give me a ride but he denied a full out WOT run in my 408..... Whats the world coming too ???

Seriously though I cannot wait to feel the pull of Vince's new motor. I think we should invest in a g meter to see how many g's we can pull. hahahaha.

Are your dyno numbers on motor?

How are they so much more than the 427's and 436's out there?

Whats the compression and cam specs? Race gas or pump? Hyd or solid?

What gives?

Mine are engine dyno #s so subtract for 15% loss and im right at about 500 to the wheels. So this is withen the norm for a 408. Vince is the high dyno'r here. Much props to Futral.

If you still want to know my engine specs are.

11.3:1 compression (run on pump gas)
244-248 114 .600 lift custom cam Hyd roller
ls6 intake
but they used 1 7/8 stepped to 1 3/4 headers on the engine dyno where as I only have 1 3/4 headers so I may lose a bit there too.

LOL!!! You guys are a trip. Last night I got a chance to play with a pretty stout 03 Cobra. Supposed specs on the Cobra are 20lbs of boost on Eaton blower and a little nitrous. According to a good source the car put down 560rwhp with the small shot. Well I was a little nervous about getting on it, but Allan said I could. The guy in the 03 Cobra asked for the hit and a half car. I obliged.. First race from a 45mph roll to about 130mph I caught him and put ONLY a half car on him, but like I said.. I was scared so I only revved her to 5500rpm for each shift. On the first pass I think he was not spraying, because that was too easy. He asked if we could run again. I obliged. Same roll and same agreement, but this time I noticed he got out a car on his hit this time. I decided to shift at 6krpm and I still caught him, but he missed a shift when we were even. Go figure. Good runs though. There is another one that wants to run me and he traps 133mph on a similar setup. I might need the spray for him.. I will definitely shift at 6800rpm when I race him. I am getting a aftermarket tach so I will know what my rpm's actually are. This setup is a ANIMAL!!!

So Vince,

How big is your cam?
What intake do you have?
Compression?

Just wondering how a smaller sized stroker is making so much power.

I'm kind of shocked how low the HP is on that Cobra at 20 lbs. Griffin and Derek were at 610 RWHP on 19 lbs with their KB blowers and no spray

BTW, where in FL do you live?

Stock Eaton is not as efficient as the KB. Once you start spinning the blower past its efficiency your increase becomes null and void. I am running 11.7:1 compression, 243/250 lsa 112 cam, and LSX90MM intake. I put down 540rwhp with the LS6 intake. The car idles at 900 to 950rpm and drives around like my old 346ci setup with the 232/236 lsa 114 cam.

Vince, glad to hear the trip back went well. It sounds like you are having a good time with the new setup already.

The 112 isn't lumpy or lopey at all?

I was thinking of upgrading to a 250/252 114 (from my 242/242 .610/.610 114), but ARE said not to because it wouldn't give me much.

So what would your RWHP be with an A4?

Lopey or Lumpy is all relative. It idles like my old 232/236 lsa 114 setup. I have no clue what my #'s would be in your car. Probably low 500's..
