Default 5.3 to 6.0 with 6.2 cam question

The cam is a 2010 6.2 ls3 cam and doesn't have the reluctor ring on it for the cam sensor to read. My question is can I jump the wires together so it will run right and not use the sensor or do I have to change the cam. The new motor is a 6.0 with that cam and 799 heads.... The motor that was in the Tahoe was a 5.3...

You would need to run an LS2 style front cover/cam sensor with the 1X cam sprocket.

You don't have to use it....

How do you think people put Gen IV engines in Gen III vehicles? Use the LS2 front cover and timing set, get the extension harness, and plug it in to the front cam sensor.
