04 CTS-V MS3 cam boost friendly? Possible LSA upgrade
Hey all I have a few questions I am hoping you can help answer.
Currently I have an 04 CTS-V with the Magic stick 3 and the ported LS6 heads from Texas Speed. She got in a fender bender and I think it's time to use the insurance money for a hood and aftermarket bumper. Also looking into an LSA charger. I can't find any actual data saying the MS3 is boost friendly, but there are a couple of cams that have very close specs that are boost friendly. I'm not looking for a lot of boost just something to have fun with.
MS3 Cam - 238/242 .600"/.600"
Does anybody have a write up any info on putting an LSA into a 03-07 CTS V?
It looks like I will need the LSA fuel rail, pulley relocation bracket and a few other things.
Is the MS3 cam boost friendly?
Input Please and Thank You!

As long as it works I'm good with that. Just didn't really feel like changing the cam again. It had the MS4 in it and I didn't like it. Know of anyone running this charger on a V1 Caddy?

Technically, anything would work.
The benefit of doing FI, to me, is power without killing street manners. So I'd say go with a smaller grind. You'd pick up power and it'd drive better. Hell, I'd look at an LS9 cam or one of the Positive Displacement blower cams from BTR.

Ok should be fairly easy to sell the MS3 and just look at other cams. Looks like I will be building a custom aluminum low profile intercooler section for the top half. Everything I have read so far indicates the LSA stock one is too high to clear any type of hood on a V1. Should be a fun project!
