4.8L rebuild kit in 5.3? Ok, crazy idea, im going to be rebuilding an older 5.3 (est 2000) and putting 317 heads with a turbo on it. Looking at flat top pistons. But i also noticed if you buy a master rebuild kit for a 4.8L it comes with flat top pistons and the 5.3L comes with dished pistons.
Would it work? I mean theoretically the crank and block are the same right? So the kit will work on either
