Default LS .040 head gasket options

I am looking at head gasket options for some 243s. I see cometic is making a 3.910 bore .040 gasket and Fel-pro makes a .041 gasket but I can't find it in a 3.910 bore?

What are you guys doing for the thinner gaskets on stock bore LS1 and Ls6 stuff?

You can run the larger Fel-Pro. It slightly lowers the compression but works fine.

The Cometic is very good though. I run that one.

I figured it wouldn't be an issue to run the bigger bore as I have done it on the 317 heads before.

I did see in the calculator I was using that I only get a .2 bump from a 4.1 bore and I get a .3 bump in CR with the 3.910 bore figured I would take the extra .1 by getting the smaller size if they made it.

If you can't run the the 3.910 because of your bore size there is a 3.970" Or maybe have some custom size ordered. Avoid going too much bigger than your bore size,^ compression ^ and contaminants for incoming mixture.
