370 lq4 build what else do I need so everything is ready to assemble? Ordered a tick rotating assembly balanced last week. Dished wiseco pistons , k1 rods , k1 crank, arp rod bolts etc. I have a 2003 lq4 block I'm gonna be using , that went off to the machine shop for disassembly . I want this all brand new and able to handle as much punishment as my pt6766ceas can dish out . I already have the top end all sorted out minus pushrods , what else will I need to bring to the shop to have the motor assembled and be "as good as new "

Cam research, get the right one, there are many that will work but only one is right. Piston ring reasearch, gapless top maybe. Just because you got a set with the rotating assembly doesn't mean they're the most ideal. You asked.

im going with a custom ground turbo cam , I'm referring to bearings /gaskets/seals, which timing set? Oil pump? I want proven parts to hold at 1000-1200 rwhp . I 1000% trust the guy who is assembling my engine to do so correctly . That being said, picking each individual component for the shortblock doesn't exactly sit well with me .
