Exclamation I measured for pushrod length... Need suggestions.

Gen III LS1. Stock Heads. TSP 228R, Dual Springs.

Using Comp Cams Push Rod Length Checker, I measured cylinders 1,3,2,4,6,5 Intake and Exhaust (should I measure the last two). My longest measurement was 7.313" and my shortest 7.30". This is with no preload. I am looking for your suggestion on what PR length will be correct. Please refer to my table. Is it best to lean towards more preload over less? How much preload is too much? I am trying to avoid sewing machine noise. (I have 7.40" TSP PRs but I want to verify these are good or if I should swap).

Pre-Load Average Push Rod Length
0.060 + 7.307 = 7.37
0.070 + 7.307 = 7.38
0.080 + 7.307 = 7.39
0.090 + 7.307 = 7.40
0.100 + 7.307 = 7.41

More experienced people will chime in but I would go with 7.375" pushrods.

You didn't mention which lifters. If LS7, 7.375 will be good. They'll Actually measure 7.385 ish

For my application I ordered 7.350" PRs from Trend. Trend makes Comp's PR measuring tool and will ensure that the PRs are built properly to spec (meaning no additional length needs to be added).
