I put an Eagle 4.00"Crankshaft in a 383 and the crank came with some instructions about the reluctor wheel run out, it couldn't have more than .028" to work, .028" is like 1/32 of an inch.

I had one come bent due to shipping and the company sent out another GM one. Had it installed and within 90 miles my car started idle dropping and running horribly and died in the street before I could get it in the driveway and was popping out the intake. Members suggested that the wheel spun and I pulled the crank sensor and stuck my finger in there and I could spin it no problem.

I torn the motor back down and the machine shop that I use found that it had .003 interference fit and it was soposed to have .007. I then ordered up a billet wheel and had him weld it to the crank and rebalance it. This is what I plan on doing for any future motors.

I think that cranks should be shipped with the reluctor not installed and have your shop install it. Too many get damaged due to poor handling from being shipped.

I really hope my second crank is better.
This company I'm dealing with has the best customer service I've seen in a long time. They have great communication and seem very professional. They are sending me another crank, at no cost to me.
If I had to pay more I think I would just give up.
I bought my Camaro 5 months ago and I got to drive it no more than 1-2 miles before it took a dump on me.
$3500 later it better run

I'm confused, the crank got bent or just the reluctor wheel? Crank is major and should have been seen by any shop, wheel bent is very understandable. Mine came at almost a 90* angle.

I agree. Ws6store is great, always quick with replies and stand by what they sell.

My baby is finally back home, running perfectly, being broken in. All I need is a good tune I'll be fine...until the next set of upgrades.
I want to thank everyone for your help, specially to Mike and the tech support at the WS6STORE for the help and best customer service. They helped me from beginning to end.
No wonder they are loved in the LS community. My baby
