Default LS crank bolt (balancer bolt) thread repair, where I can get a kit?

My LS crank bolt threads are not in a great condition and they need to be repaired before torqueing down the bolt to the moon. I read a while a go in HOTROD mag that time-sert have a kit to do the job but I couldn't find it!, can anyone help me by guiding me to any threat repair kit that can do the job?

Thanks,,

Your crank bolt threads are junk or the threads in the crank?

Tap/die kit will clean out both...depending on how bad they are. Re tap the crank and buy a new bolt.

I just found the correct size tap in a local shop and fixed the first few bad threads, I'm glad that it was an easy fix!

Thanks smitty

Were you following ls1howto.com for removal and installation per chance?

I don't understand why they don't fix that part of the write up. Never ever use the stock bolt to pull on the Balancer on.
