I like the pac1218 and 1219 they are high quality and super economical. From the performance above .600 range and higher than 6500rpms i really prefer the Manley. had a friend using them on a 200hp+ nitrous ls1 that would spin to 7k and it had 0 issues even spraying off the line. We used the comp 772 ti retainers which were just a tad heavier than these trick titanium ones.
The psi are good but lack a little pressure imo and are still the same price.

OK, good spring info! I figured you would know. Good for all of us to have a shop that uses what it sells, and tells us about it! THANKS!

I have been doing a lot of lurking and not commenting. I personally am very interested in the 5.1L engine, but in for all the results as its awesome to see somebody build something other than a 383 or 408.

I am working on acquiring an iron 5.3 block and will likely use one of the 5.3l blocks i have for the 5.1l. possibly the l33 block.

The only hold up for both the rod bolt checking and the 333 is the machine shop. The 5.1l will likely be next then the iron 5.7. Ill have a 6.0 iron also to do the 372 to actually test.
The all stroke 360 may be the last since its going to cost the most and ill need to possibly sell the other engines to fund it on the side. The all bore 346 will likely be January but i WILL get it done.
Cams should be out soon also.

I am doing oddball combos to show what is possible with our rebuild kits on a shoestring budget basically. It also serves 2 or 3 other purposes in showing what a large bore will do vs a small bore long stroke. And then of course the large bore short stroke 5.1 and 333 will prove our new cams and test the limits of a stock casting head.

The pictures in this thread are the progress so far.

They got sidelined waiting on machine shop plus a few other more important projects got in the way. I hope to have more updates soon though.

Didn't know you were doing a 5.1 but I'm very interested. Curious if it can make the power I would need, but if it can, it's a big weight break in the rules.

Thank you for doing these builds. Im interested in the 347 build as that sounds right up my alley for what im doing in my c10. Cant wait for results.

...and spilling over into 2019. As soon as things settle down a little, youll see some progress on 2 or 3 of the engine builds!

Im excited of course. Im trying to tally up the budgets also to give you a good idea. Since nearly all of these are built with our RPMSpeed complete rebuild kits, its easy to keep costs down especially if you have the block, crank, rods and heads already!

Fingers crossed!!

Check out my haul!
Ive got a 5.3l and a 6.0 to work with.

I think i may change gears and do a 5.3l build up to the iron 5.7 also.

First ill use dished 5.3s. Then flat tops then bore to ls1 size. Same ca., same heads, same crank, same rods, and see what i can do.

Thoughts?

The 6.0 is getting the 372 treatment so i can slow down on this one and get it dynod and all info.

Oh...yeah...i forgot.
Switched rollers. So all the engines will be tested in this...with stock 10bolt and unknown gears. Welded diff lol.
Im looking at maybe a saginaw direct drive or something like that. Will put basically all the power through it for minimal loss. Plus its only $800. I dont think ill ever race it just need to drive a little to put on trailer and maybe around the block in case i want to take it to a show or get some drivability on the computer etc just for fun.

I need project name though. Tetanus is already taken 900 times. And mullet. But how about REO TestWagon? Maybe CantMaro?
Throw out some ideas.

Bmr ls swap k member soon. Remote radiator and other stuff soon also. Who needs windows anyway right? All parts are there and ive owned it for quite a while just never done anything with it. Plus its less likely to throw a drive shaft vs my truck project on the dyno.
