4x cam gear on early ls1

4x cam gear on early ls1 I was on Texas Speed ordering parts and noticed the 4x gear is cheaper than the 1x gear when ordering ls2 timing set.. Since the early ls doesn't use the cam sprocket for timing pickup i would think the 4x gear works. Can someone confirm either way. Thanks

If you have a gen iii block with a cam sensor in the back of the block the gear doesnt matter. You can use either a 4x or 1x. Sensor reads of the cam not the gear
