Help with .030" valve shims OD and ID I need
 
I need help on what OD and ID valve shims i need the thickness I need is .030" and im going to be using it with ls6 valve springs and then later on going to use pac 1218 with a Howard's ASA camshaft

Have you called ANY of the cam companies about this? They will give you a quicker answer than the internet, and be correct.

I just message summit racing and Howard's cams, summit said to call Monday, Howard's haven't replied yet

I bought them from JEGS and bought:

"SPRING SHIM .015 X 1.250 Part # 249-4736-16"

You will need to look for the thicker part but hopefully this helps. If you are using the one piece seal/seat than you need to put the shims on top of the seal/seat so verify the ID will fit over. If you are using umbrella seals they go on before the valve seal.

Ok yes I do have the umbrella type seals, so the ID wouldn't matter?
