Default Engine Power: Cam Motion Titan King LS1 Camshaft adds 95 Horsepower!

Hey Guys,

I thought you would enjoy this Engine Power TV episode with a dyno test of the Cam Motion Titan King LS1 camshaft. It picked up 95 horsepower with just a camshaft swap. This video has 4 sections/scenes. The cam test is in the 4th scene.

It did but only after a set of high dollar Trick Flow heads were put on first. Need to go to powerblock TV and watch the whole episode but its still impressive.

That's an impressive result even with heads.

Was this a Cam Motion Titan King LS1 hydraulic roller camshaft or Cam Motion Titan King LS1 camshaft low lash solid roller cam?

Thanks for sharing the info & link.

Sorry, gotta know specifics before I am impressed. Cammotion has a good rep but that you're trying to take credit for TFS head gains is NOT confidence inspiring. I'm guessing half those gains are heads and other half cam. typical but right in line with a donkey dick big number cam. no one gets 100 to the tire with cam only. Cammotion, not impressive.

Jmilz28, did look at and read the Cammotion post?

The picture with the link shows the hp break gain broken down by mod. The heads gained 41 hp before the cam was swapped. Here's a screen shot. You can't honestly say Cam Motion is playing games when the hp gain by mod is shown in the picture. Here its posted again for easy reference.

Order of mods shown and respective gain as each mod was added.

BTW - I've never purchased or received anything from Cam Motion.

He could not have seen the video to make a statement as he did. 41HP from the heads, 95 from the CAM ALONE! SMH......

Yeah it's kinda BS. It's not lying...just not being upfront about everything.

I took it as cam vs cam was 95, and here's the video and all the details showing how/why. The heads did 4x hp, the cam was swapped after the heads and did 95 ON TOP OF the power gained by the heads.

I think we all knew it wasn't going to be a cam only setup. And in reality it was a cam swap alone that made 95. A hair misleading? Maybe. But they also posted all the info showing how and why, so they obviously weren't out to lie to anyone. It made 95 after the heads were installed and compared cam to cam. Would it have made 95 without the heads, no. But it did with them and none of the power was combined with the head gains.

The heads and cam gained 136. That is impressive no matter how you slice it.

Thanks cam motion for showing what a great head and cam combo can do.

On a side note I was impressed those rocker arms picked up that much power.

Id like to see the same test with factory heads or if they installed the cam first and then the heads it would look like the heads did all of the work. As with any engine no part is carrying the load, you get good HP numbers with the right combination of a lot of parts.

One might say the cam unlocked much of the potential power within the heads.
I call that a collective effort....

There's tons of cam only dyno's out there to see. It's been done a million times, it's nice to see something different.

I'm glad they did it this way, we hardly ever get to see what heads alone do. And those rocker numbers too.

If they had done the cam first, then the heads, we'd see a higher power number from the heads and then that test would be called biased for doing it that way.. can't please em all.
