So after recommendations I have decided to order my shortblock from TMS. I will listthe details below of the car and components.what I would like is your suggestions and opinions as far as cam goes. TIA
TMS 408 with -15cc pistons about 10.7:1 CR with my heads
tfs 215 milled to 59cc chambers( I know I know... go with 225s, but I am going to go with these
fast 102 intake
fast 92 mm tb
1 3/4 headers w/3” collectors true dual 3” x pipe
underdrive pulley
t56 monster clutch
3300lbs car
3.70 gears mwc 9”
i was running this setup in a ls1 346 with a vrx4 cam 228/230 and made 478 and best pass of 11.1@124.

Yes, I already have the 215 and they are already milled to 59cc. I know that the 1 3/4 headers will hold me back a little, but should only be up top. Also, this set up SHOULD be temporary. I plan to eventually go turbo a few yrs down the road. Ill give cam motion a call.

I had Pat G spec my cam for my car. Similar combo. My TFS 215’s are milled to 59cc as well then I had the chambers opened to the 4.065 bore on my ls3 Block. When I spoke to TFS they told me the 225 program is very marginal and the 215’s actually come in more around 220. They said to leave them alone.

Jtm, if I didnt already have these I would definitely have gone bigger, bit since I already have these I dont see a point in selling them at a loss to pay another 2700 for a few more ponies. Plus, I plan to go turbo and when I do I am pulling these off and putting some stock ported heads and just turn up the boost to make for the loss of efficiency.

Jp, did you have your heads opened up to the 4” bore? I saw two other membersmaking over 520 rwhp with the 215s, but they had the chambers opened up to the 4” bore.
