RPMSpeed Updated Head Gaskets We are always trying to help our customers out and put out the highest quality product we can, SO we went back to the drawing board and decided to build in a very popular feature into our RPMSpeed MLS gaskets. From now on ALL of our RPMSpeed HD MLS gaskets (with notched head provisions) will be .045-.046 thick. Even though they have a notch, they will work on any cylinder head/block combo up to 4.085 bore size (not including ls7 and 4 bolt only) Our 4.8/5.3/5.7 head gaskets measure 3.934" BLUE $51.99 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...4b92f2172a.png Our 6.0/6.2 gaskets measure 4.100" BLACK $69.95 https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...b74f50e179.png (click above for direct links) Now you dont have to spend a mint to get better quench and better compression ratio. On average they will add .2 of compression vs .053 gasket. We still have the gm mls gaskets which are still .053 thick. But from now on ALL of our Rpmspeed HD head gaskets that come with the Rpmspeed Gasket kits and Complete rebuild kits are .045-.046. THERE IS NO NEED TO REQUEST THE THINNER GASKET AND WE DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER STYLE BESIDES WHAT IS LISTED. DO NOT CALL PM OR EMAIL ASKING OF WE HAVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE SIZES LISTED. WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY OTHER STYLE MADE. I hope that was clear enough. So if you want a thinner head gasket and dont want to spend $140+ for cometic/felpro, then these are the best option. |
So these would go nicely on an 862 headed 5.3 expecting to run around 20lb... looks like a nice option |
Not trying to start any crap but the GM MLS gaskets for LS1/LS6 are listed as .051 (at least according to Summit). Maybe the 5.3 and 6.0 gaskets are different. |
We have personally measured .051 to .053 but have seen more at .053. Not crap, but do you think summit measures the gaskets or they just use what gm printed in 2001 and just kept recycling? |

Flipping sweet! And it's extra clear, but you know how the internet is, the clearer you make it the stupider the questions. |

I just got these installed on a 5.3L rebuild and they look to be pretty nice. They aren’t marked to show which end is the front like the OEM gaskets, but anyone with half a brain should be able to figure it out by the water passage holes. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...c8e110bcd.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...131e7d1df.jpeg |
Right. We need to get a sheet in there to show which is front. Looks pretty good tho! Pappa Smurf approves |
