Did you start with 61cc 5.3 heads? We see those are tighter...then the milling and the larger 2.04 O.D. valve all stack up. Our LS3 specific stage 3 and 4 cams use lobe offset on the intakes to give us a bit more clearance than the standard 3 and 4.

Just ordered the Stage 2 turbo cam 226/230 for my 06 Silverado. 5.3 w/ cnc'd 241s and single 76/75. Current cam is the tick stage 2 turbo truck cam 219/223. We'll see how this one works. Thought about the ghost cam but i'm ready for the truck to sound a little nasty. lot of good reading here, thanks.

Mav, did you get the picture I sent of the white birds reciever hitch setup on facebook. I also take it the shop that built the trans is the one garret and them uses. If so ima take this spare 4l60e I have and take it to them. Now just need to line out a torque arm, cross member, and some rear suspension. I think I can get the car to possible a low 11 on motor after looking at your build here.

Appreciate you mentioning that because I'm sure that's the deal with my old ~2002 era set of TEA S2 5.3's , They were tight P to V on a custom 224/224 .581/.581 lift 113 LSA XER. I remember wondering why so tight. I seem to recall intake was ~.075 ish

I can post an update from the new owner!

Car was retuned after the stage 2 cam and swapped to a 4000 yank from the 3000 yank.
