Which oil pump lq9 498
 
Im having a debate of which oil pump to run.. its going into a lq9 tsp 408 im rebuilding... i cant recall which one i used before as i know longer have it... my boy says go with the 10295 and i hear other people say go with the 10296.. or can i run a ported ls6?

Go with the high pressure pump (I THINK the 10295), NOT the high volume pump, as the extra volume is simply not needed.

shit i dont remember the block was built 8yrs ago and i lost all paper work.. im just refreshing it by putting new cam etc new heads etc new and swapping it into a fbody since it was in my silverado..

What oil pump was in it before? Sounds like you’ll likely be good to go with the 10295 HP or ported LS6 pump. Stay away from the HV 10296 unless you need it due to loose bearing clearances and/or retrofitting piston oil squirters.

to be honest i believe it was a ported tsp ls6 pump
