Default Gen III 6.0 to nv350p

Does anyone know if this spacer comes off? I installed my sachs nfw1050 flywheel and it puts the starter about a half inch too far from the fly wheel. That spacer was on there from the factory. My problem is the starter is barely catching the flywheel. Its starts but barely. If there were a starter to make up that difference ease let me know before i remove my tranny

I have a nv3500 connected to a 5.3 with your same flywheel and the flywheel is connected directly to the crank without a spacer. The cranks are the same between the 5.3 and 6.0 unless you have the earlier 1999-2000 6.0 with the long crank.

Did you have to use release bearing 1377c to make up the difference of that spacer?

Here are some threads on the swap. The release bearing 1377c is what everyone is using for the external slave cylinder. My slave cylinder is attached to the tranny like the t56(internal) so i used a 2002 camaro slave cylinder throwout bearing combo.
