Default Need cam and head help on my 5.3 build.

I have a 2002 5.3 truck engine with the 706 heads. I plan of running a single or dual plane intake with a 750 or 800 carb. I'm looking towards running the Texas speed torquer v2 232/234 .600/.600 or the torquer v4 231/234 .629/ .615. I am planning on having the heads ported and bigger valves either 2in or 2.02. I would like to have the heads milled, but with the duration on the cam how much could I get them milled if any before piston to valve clearance issues? And this will be going in a 84 Camaro with a manual.

if you are going with Texas Speed for your choice of camshaft call them and discuss your setup and concerns. They should have the information you are looking for

I was hoping someone on here has already run this setup with that lobe. I don't want to buy a cam and then find out I can't use it..

Well then don't wait for them to come here. YOU call THEM and get the info you need. This forum is only one source of info. Not the ONLY one.
