Why did you change it ... because of the miles?

If you changed the pump and had less pressure, then there is some underlying issue. This being said from changing hundreds of them.

Keep in mind- It's RockinWs6. He reuses headbolts, so likely reused a 200k mile oil pump.

Because we thought the oring was bad. It looked like new but while it was apart I figured put a new pump in. I think the reason the oil pressure is lower now is the oring Melling supplies is a bit too small when compared to the factory blue oring. I talked to a top shop LS shop in Texas that does a lot of LS engines, they told me they toss the Melling black orings in the garbage because they leak. They ALWAYS install the larger oring that comes with the pump. I added leak sealer to the oil and it helped, at least the lifters quieted down. It should come back apart and have the oring replaced but screw it, I had enough of this oring BS on these cars....................When it breaks its new car time AND it won't be a GM car. They engineer stupid **** that spoils the experience. The oring along with the unsealed windshield has claimed many many cars. GM knows all about this BS yet let their customers down. F UM!

Melling has either 2 or 3 rings with their 10295 pump. Maybe you used the m295 instead?

As stated above. Melling sends 3 rings with that pump. Just installed one a couple months back. Didn’t lose pressure anywhere either.

Well I guess I shouldn't have posted up. All of a sudden the OP stays at 35-40 on the gauge when its warmed up. It doesn't rise like it should with rpms. Engine is quiet and its runs good, guess time will tell. Could be as simple as a bad OP sender but I'm not touchin it this time. What ever happens so be it. I have my eyes on a nice AWD Charger.

I went ahead and swapped it out. Used the black o-ring which was a little thicker than the stock blue one. 60 PSI hot idle. Hopefully it stays that way.

I changed the oil and filter today and problem is gone. I'm guessing dirt stuck in the OP sensor, when you pull the filter off the oil gallery up the OP sensor drains out. Easy fix, guess that 2015 RS Camaro won't be coming home today. Noway I'm buying a AWD Charger LMAO I knew if I threatened to buy a Dodge the TA would step up!

Yes that's the pump we used. Not the 10295.

BTDT,, tried dodge car,, will never go back, the Mercedes/Daimler over engineering + the new Fiat cheap *** tactics,,
Wait till you lose a axle cv cover on the front of the Dodge.. 2000 bucks later you might have it back from the garage..

But good luck! Hope you "Dodge" the issues..

Going to LOOK at a 2015 RS tomorrow. I don't think we'll buy it but its a step in the direction. I found a 2000 Camaro with 19k on it, guy is 80 years old original owner low mileage but almost 20 years old not sure what we should do. With 175k easy miles on the TA it still drives like the day we bought it but you know bigger troubles are coming with it. I'm too old to do any work on cars anymore.

I did mine several thousand miles ago and I now have 341,000 miles on it. Drives at 60psi and idles at 30.
Prothane Motor mounts 7-512 to be exact. Prothane is the way to go.
