408 vs 5.3 with boost daily?

I would not boost the 408 with a small turbo. That's not a fun combo.

I would do the 5.3L and a 7675 with a cam. It would make 800rwhp all day and be very easy to drive around. Plus with a boost controller, you can turn it down for daily driving. And up for track days.

And you can make 800HP with the LS7 architecture. But your 10k budget won't get you there. Hell, with a 468 + LS7... you can make 750 to the tire on pump gas.

I've gotten 2 Gen4 aluminum 5.3's off ebay for $500 shipped. Recently seen a few guys make 800+ with gen 3 stuff, and run 9's in a pickup truck.
