Default New Summit Racing Pro Ls 4.8L rods! SUM-LS6275945

Since the launch of Summit Racing Pro Ls on Independence Day 2018, we've been working hard to create great parts at an excellent value for you. We do this by Listening! One of the things that has happened over the years is the prices for 5.3's continue to climb and the 4.8L has become the "new 5.3". Mavn and Caesar have done a lot to prove out the engine, but like everything...stock parts have a limit. We are proud to announce being the First to create a dedicated 4.8L 6.275 length 4340 H-beam SUM-LS6275945. Same basic winning design as our others and we chose the .945 pin configuration for the small end. This pin is 9% stronger than a .927 pin just by virtue of the diameter and this keeps the need for upgrade pins negligible when in the four-digit whp power range. We were also the first to rate our rods by Piston Speed FPM which is more accurate than HP. In this case, 5000fpm with the 3.268 stroke is 9200 rpm! Our 2cc dome Pro LS 5.3 Pistons become a perfect 9.5:1 compression with a 65cc head when used with the shorter 4.8L stroke. ARP 7/16 2000 bolts standard. We've kept the pricing affordable for the guy that chooses the 4.8L to begin with. We are looking forward to seeing the projects you folks use them in soon!

Nice - wish I knew this 6 months ago when I had to buy a
5.3 crank and rods for my 4.8 motor. I guess summit racing
seen a market niche for this product. My hats off to you guys!

so when will these be available?

I'm glad to see some 4.8 options. Maybe I'll get around to building that 4.8 powered top dragster I've been thinking about for the last few years lol

Do you guys make pistons for a larger bore? Want to run 4.8 crank and these rods in a 6.2 for a track car

Unfortunately, no one that we carry offers a shelf piston for a 6.2 bore with a 4.8 stroke/rod. You would likely end up needing custom pistons from someone like JE or Wiseco.
