Picked up a used LM7 5.3 that was reman'd in 2019 by Titan Engines. Seller told me it had around 30k miles before he swapped to a 6.0. I pulled the heads and there is good cross hatch in all cylinders, but also has vertical marks where the piston skirt is. Nothing that feels like a nick or anything< and it's consistent in each cylinder. Looks like the block was bored 20 over based on the piston part numbers. Would this be considered normal? Ok to rebuild without boring again?
As far as how it "looks", I'd also run that. Looks pretty normal. That is, SURE, you can re-bore it, and make it "perfect"; butt in another 30k miles it'll be right back to about what you're seeing there.
