Default "Low Oil" light wont go off

Popped on today while driving back from a customer's location. Pulled over and checked the level. Was a little more than a quart low. Went to the gas station and put in 1.5 quarts.

The light is still on though

And, I've never seen it come on for for being a quart or so low before. Matter of fact, I've never seen the low oil light come on at all... ever

Oil pressure looks normal. Level is full. Light still on....

Any ideas why?

After you fill it back up it won't go off instantanously, the car has to sit for a little (15 mins, etc) so the oil can settle back down and the stupid light will go back off.

Cheers.

Also try a PCM reset if your sensor is plugged in.
