We completed our first F/A 427 Predator this past week and will have the car on display at our Grand Opening Celebration/Dyno Day Aug 21st. Our intended purpose for this particular Predator was for it to be a true daily driveable supercar , and with 550 rwhp on tap with emissions equipment in place , we exceeded our original goal. This car has every available option associated with the Predator package, with the exception of the AFR cylinder heads . In the true spirt of “too much is never enough” , We will be installing the AFR cylinder heads and also a solid lift cam very shortly and I’ll be sure to let everyone know what kind of gains we see with these additions. I’ll finish with a few pics and a dyno sheet, so that you can get a feel for just how nice this car really is.

There is no way I could even come close to describing the amount of time and attention to detail that goes into building a predator in a single post , If you have any technical questions feel free to give me a call and I’ll take the time to walk you through every step if necessary.

So basically are you building a car for purchase? How much would something like this cost?

RyanJ 08-10-2004 08:56 PM

I have to know...what does F/A stand for?

gonzo 6.2 08-10-2004 09:57 PM

f/a =FAST ASS

Reckless 08-11-2004 07:38 AM

Actually "Freese Autosport" I believe, but it also has the Fighter/Aircraft sorta thing going also :D

BigTex 08-11-2004 07:59 AM

Fast Ass works for me. Post up that dyno sheet.

KECHME 08-11-2004 08:52 AM

Posted :D and yes the F/A stand for Freese Autosport with a Fighter/Aircraft theme.

ya, I got a question. Who's sheriff Brady?

Will ya'll post an et slip for this thing?

WG

RyanJ 08-11-2004 12:06 PM

Sheriff Brady...as in the Sheriff killed by the Regulators (including Billy the Kid)?? Ya know...he got a 1/2-second drop on ol' Sheriff Brady after he filled the front sight down... :)

Reckless 08-11-2004 12:12 PM

ET slip? Doubt it. This particular car rarely sees the street, much less the strip. It is not driven very hard. It only has about 1700 original miles on it. Look for it an upcoming issue of Corvette Fever magazine.

That seems like a pretty expensive upgrade. Sounds and looks like it will be kick ass!

My guess is between $35K and $45K for the upgrade.

I don't think it is that high. More along the lines of 26k or something. That's not bad considering you will have a brand new car that is going to be just awsome.

Have you seen the price of C5R engines? I don't know about the shortblock on it's own, but with that element, I wouldn't be surprised to see this kit exceed the 30k mark.

02blackws679ta 08-11-2004 05:01 PM

he said on ls2.com that the base price was around 23k.....

I believe they are just using the C5R block. Check the intake...the standard LSx style will not work with C5R heads. The block is like 4-6k I thought.

kumar75150 08-11-2004 05:07 PM

the motor and components alone should be close to 25k

if you are talking about the brakes and other stuff, it will be more

1998redcoupe 08-11-2004 05:08 PM

For about 20K i would not hesistate to have this done! But there is a problem I do not have the 20k to do it. God i wish I did that is freakin sweet

RonSpeeD 08-16-2004 12:09 PM

Base is upper 23's. ;)

Looks extremely cool and should also haul ass with 550 at the wheels as well! Good work and the shop also looks first class from the pics! :drive:
