Engine Bearings for LS's
 

I bought a set of Clevite 77 rod and main bearings some time ago for an LS6 motor that I was building up from basically new GM components; block, crank, cam, etc. The main bearings that I got from the parts house are a Clevite 77 #MS 2199 P...does anybody have a source for these? Every time I ask for them I get a look like I was from the moon...even from the parts house that sold them to me (seems they changed ownership this past year).
I am also looking for a good source/price for head gaskets...FelPro has a high performance product but I am not sure that they are any better than the stock GM gaskets. Thanks...

I am not sure on Clevite numbers but the Federal Mogul numbers are rod 8-7100CH, main 152M.

152M is the STD size Federal Mogul Main Bearing

152M1 is the -.001 Federal Mogul Main Bearing

As I understood the above post he needed STD Mian Bearings so the 152M would be his part number in Federal Mogul.

152Ms give greater clearance
 

Hi,
I ended up using stock Chevy inserts because the 152M's gave ~3/4 thou greater clearance than Std Chevy bearings.
