69MyWay - What if I hold the throttle with one hand, and pour a gallon of water in the throttlebody with the other. Will the insurance company write me the check according to an adjuster, in which case I could build an ls2 block based stroker myself? Or will they require that one of their approved mechanical shops do the work?

Honestly Im kidding about pouring water in. im just wondering if the require the work to be done by a shop, or can you do the work yourself?

Why would you drive into standing water with the SLP Flowpac on your car? :twak:

I wonder if they would say "if you didn't have the flowpac your car would not have flooded , You are now officially SOL "

I hope this doesn't happen but you might want to change your intake back before they look at your car..

Hey man, do not let your insurance company messwith you I hydrolocked my My motor 6 months ago. They came out inspected it and had me a check in 3 days. The check was for 8959.63. my girlfriend also has allstate and she did the same 2 months ago they came out and looked at it and cut a check right there. If you have nitrous though, take it all off. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 806-433-8225. I will help you deal with your insurance company. Unless there is a disclaimer on your policy against flood damage, or they can prove you were racing (nitrous), they have to pay for it. Also you are allowed 3 comprehensive claims a year without a raise in your premiums. I live in Amarillo, hail capital of the world and deal with my insurance company frequently. Just do not let them mess you around.
