What's the going rate?

Looking to have a local speed shop do a cam install '04 GTO LS1. The springs will be replaced along with an underdrive pulley. Quoted $700 for labor, does that seem reasonable?

where are you located?

$700? I guess thats resonable, yea. Fastech quoted me 1200 to swap entire motors. Just to give you a comparison. 700 for cam, springs & pulley sounds alright for a professional job.

Personally, if you can read and follow a series of pictures, I don't know how someone can go wrong with JmX's writeup. As long as you have the right tools, you should be set.

We don't usually charge that much for a cam and springs on an f-body or 'vette. If you are local, give us a call.
