Can't decide what cam to get

Hey guys I am having a tough time choosing a cam, I am looking at BIG ones being I want a Cam only car because the funds are limited. I want something that lopes really hard and has lots of power and a Nasty idle  . My buddy has a 231/237 on a 112 LSA, sounds very nice but want mine to sound better!!! The car is not a daily driver (thats why funds are limited) so the bigger the better I was thinking something in the high 230s low 240s on a 110 LSA, or if anyone can think of a custom grind would like to keep shift points under 7000 being it is a stock shortblock!! And yes I know I need valvetrain, I am looking into the PP Dual gold spring kit from Speed INC. Hope you guys can help me, thanks in advance

MS3, G5X3, or the t-rex in that order.

Those big cams are nice to a certain extent but you still need LS6 intake, LT's, and heads to breathe. Plus remember with those monster cams spring changes are an annual maintenance item.

sounds like the trex cam is calling for you.

LG Juggernaut cam, it lopes HARD. It also works very well with stock heads. You will need an LS6 intake and a full exhaust to see the most from any set up.

I have Jet-Hot LTs with a Lanes 3" X-Pipe that Dumps before the Axle, I think that should be good for the exhaust system :) As for the LS6 Intake there is one sitting in my house already!!

If I owned a 6-speed I would go huge like a G5X3; in fact I might even try that on a 114 LSA for my A4. :) I heard a G5X2 112 LSA idle on an A4 and it was wicked.

I just ordered the Futral Ron Jeremey Cam (aka FM15).

It was a toss-up between the G5X2/X3, the T-Rex, or the Ron Jeremey Cam. I think I made the best choice.

Ordered my Ron Jeremy cam as well. I think I made the right one as well. But if you want a G5X3, I have a new one I need to sell.

I would wait to see some #'s on the new Futral RJ cam. Futral cams make awesome power, and it wont need to be spun as high as a T-Rex.

do a search for distortion_69. he's had it running for a lil while now(he's the first person to buy the cam, it was originally a custom grind for him). a buddy of his just installed it a few weeks ago as well, should have some numbers up soon.

edit: that buddy of his is SidewaysOZ....his thread is up near the top with the almost hundred replies ;)

Call a reputable engine builder and ask them to spec one for your car. Otherwise, you will be guessing.

G5X3 on a 112 requires flycutting to be safe, or else I would probably go with that cam. :judge:

does anyone have the specs on the lg juggernaut cam?

MTI has just made a new cam. They are putting it in my car right now. I had the X1 cam and this is alot bigger. Talk to David at MTI, he will let you know what it is. I will say this, the new cam they are putting in is sweet as Hell. They had to flycut because I have S2 heads. My car will be ready Tuesday, I will have dyno results then!!
And this weekend track results!!Car in Sig!!
