Default Piston recomendation w/ G5X-2

I'm getting my bottom end fixed up and going with a forged 347. The heads are milled .030 with 2.05int, 1.60exh. My pistons are flycut and was wondering which piston to go with?

Diamond, Ross, Weiseco are all good makers. I use Diamond myself and so do many others here.

since you're running the G5X2 i'd called LGM and talk to them about it, they'd be able to help you out since they know the cam specs the best.

i am in the process of forged internals right now. Ebay has a set of Mahle forged pistons and eagle forged connnecting rods with piston rings for 729. i think that is what im going to do! I asked around and heard nothing but good things about these pistons. also -2cc valve reliefs!

Mahle pistons are what they run in high perf Porsches and BMW's. Good schtuff.

Don't forget JE pistons... very good quality and light. Ask your machine shop what good pricing they can get on pistons. Typically they use one piston more than others and can extend that discount to you. My machine shop does at least.
