Sleeving a LS1 Q's
I bought a Assembly that requires the block to be sleeved to 4.100. Heres my questions. My dad builds desiel motors all day long and he does the sleeving and that stuff. When sleeving the ls1 block do these sleves fit rite in or does the block have to be machined to fit the bigger sleves.

peronally only person i'd trust to sleave my on block would be Steve from Race Engine Development. He's local to me at least, and a sponsor.

Much like Honda's, the LS1 sleeves have to be precisely cut out and new ones precisely pressed in, then machined. I know that Darton has LS1 wet sleeves that retains the stock cylinder cooling situation. Costs about $2600 to have a block sleeved. This price is a bit high, considering that top notch sleeves in a HondaHonda cost about $850 (though it is only 4 cylinders).

Yea i think im going with rapid motorsports there about 2hrs from my house so the gets rid of the whole shiping crap. 2250 giving them my core is preetty good i thought but has anyone had any problems with the ARE sleeved block. im doing a finish bore of 4.100 from all the supporting vendors i called they said i whould have no problems with going dry sleve
