They look like the Crane gold rockers with a black anodised coating. I would call them and ask some more questions.

I am using the Crane/Vinci rockers myself and have used them on another H/C car with good results. You will need screw in studs n guideplates for them to work. If these are indeed the same as the cramne rockers you will also need a shorter pushrod for the geometry to be correct.

My Vinci rockers came with the studs/gudeplates and 7.250" pushrods.

Larry, you don't need those rockers...what you need is a MANLY cam...something way over 230 degrees @ .050". Come on, you have a light car that runs 11.0s in the heat. A bigger bumptick along with the light factory rockers (and beefier springs of course) will drop your ET well into the 10s...in any weather.

You are right Patrick, but I was just inquiring. They are cheaper than most available for our LS1. I think I'm already going to see some 10s (with good air) with my little 224/224 cam. I ran a 6.89 @ 94.45 mph 1/8 a couple weeks ago. Hopefully, that should translate to a high 10. In the heat could be a problem.

Brad,

You are correct. I emailed the company and that only includes what you see in the pic. By the time you purchased everything else needed they might get pretty pricy.

Joe,
No disrespect but it is. I know that trunion anywhere since I use to work for the fella that made them for Crane many years ago. I have 2 or 3 customers that bought 100's of sets of the black PL stuff from Crane a few months ago.

Ed,
No it is USA made stuff, it's just what crane mfg for other mfg to put in their boxes.

Well Woody has copied the Crane piece down to the centering hole we use to do for Crane. I stand corrected. CAT valvetrain products have no quality.

Hi Folks
I read the information on the Rockers and can't find the word "ADJUSTABLE" anywhere on the page. I believe they are straight up Rockers, not even close to the adjustable one Crane offers. Away read the print.
Thanks

Ed,
Yeah, the chinese think R&D is Ripoff and Duplicate. Who is worse is the guy's that send quality US products over there with no engineering and just have it duplicated as far as appearance. No specifications on heat treat and tolerances. Everything we produced for the LS1 last year has been sent to China. . . fun business.

Well if they are selling whats in the picture it is adjustable. It uses a stud mount which they are not supplying for that price. Funny how they have a posi lock sitting next to it when we have bolt down rockers stock. They show that pic and say nothing in the ad that will let someone know they will need alot more to make them work.

Hi Brad,
What I was referring was an adjustable or variable ratio, sorry if I confused everybody. Yes they are adjustable but not variable.

I can guarantee that the rockers in question are not made by Crane, sold as private label by Crane or in anyway associated with Crane. Crane Cams is the only QS 9000 certified manufacturer of performance valve train products in the country. We private label many products including rocker arms, roller lifters, retainers, cams, etc.; but we do not private label any LS1 components!

FWIW, when we private label (PL) a component, that component is made to the marketing companies specifications. These may or may not comply with internal Crane specs. Many times we sell a lifter body(for example) but not the wheel, bearings and axles as our components are of such high quality that it eliminates all possibility of a low price. Many people see the part and think it is the same piece, when in actuality, there is no comparison in the quality where it is really needed. The saying: "you only get what you pay for is very true". It amazes me how many people on this site equate low price with "good value". The subtleties in materials, processing, geometry, etc. are what make good products good and low cost products "so-so". Anyway, that is my little "spiel" about quality!! We thank all of you who run Crane Cams products. Please be aware that we diligently watch this site and others to keep current with your needs and try to provide you with the best products available. Admittedly, we were a little late in entering the LS1 market; but we studied it thoroughly and evaluated competing products and we are now certain our products are second to none in both performance and reliability!
