Default MTI stage 2E heads/cam on the way!!!!!!!

ive been debating on getting a set of patriot heads. ive been reading that most of their issues have been cleared up. however, i dont think i would ever be able to completely relax given whats happened in the past...if i decided to go with them. i talked to gunnar at patriot performance for a while the other day. he talked with me for a couple hours, which i really appreciated. he talked with me about all the problems they had before, and after hearing him and reading all the contraversy on the board, i came to the conclusion that it was mainly a valvetrain problem, which has been fixed with the new valves/seals/springs. anyway, my point is i would have gone with a set of patriot heads had MTI not had this big sale going on. anyway, im going with the G1 cam and hopin to put down at least 425 to the wheels. i know MTI is a proven company and they put down some great numbers. anyway, i thought id share my joy i will have them on in the next couple weeks and i will be sure to post some results. later yall

by the way, Dave Coates at MTI, youre the man thanks for all the help you gave me today

Congrats on the new power coming your way. My little C2 cam and the IIE heads are working great.

I'm looking at the same MTI special myself... It's getting hard to resist.

Thinking the Stealth II cam would suit my needs well...

So you are billed 1990.00 shipped and you have 30 days to send them your core. If they don't get them in time, they'll bill you the cores charges "then."

Is that the way it works?

What do you think it should be? Vette's have more driveline loss than f-bodies. Are ya running thru cats? I am.

Cats are -10hp, vette driveline another -10hp or so. It's not an exact science, from one dyno to another you can get different numbers.

There is a good chance some mti heads will be finding their way onto my car in the near future.

there might be a problem somewhere side step. was the quench set? are your heads milled? was the intake port matched? i pulled 435rwhp through cats but with a 90 TB and intake, but i had 3.90's. and i didnt set my quench or mill my heads. im doing all that now and switching to a 232/234 cam. will see what happens

well, i kinda wanted to see what he was putting down in the mid range. like a was saying to Blazeone, he had some nice mid range power under the curve, i was just curious why he only peaked at 417. i know mid range is where u want it, so thats really what i was asking him for. i wanted to see what the setup did in an f-body as opposed to a vette, so thats why i cared. im still deciding on a cam grind.....im probably going with the g1, but dave told me he would custom grind one for me, so i figure...why not take advantage of that? any suggestions on a good cam for this stage 2e head setup??
