Here's a clip of the TSP Torquer

Just finished the install yesterday. The clip is on LS1Sounds.com under the true duals page, the first clip at the top. Let me know what you guys think!

Yep, stock heads. Gonna try to get a tune here soon, and get it to the dyno not long after that. You gouys will be the first to know!

Nice, sounds sooooo much diff from in front of the car to behind it! Love the lope. How's the SOTP feel of the 233/233?

Feels really strong. It was kinda hard to tell cause the roads were wet, and getting on it at all pretty much broke the tires loose, even from a 20 or 30 mph roll. Night and day difference before and after!

i was deciding on ordering the Torquer also but i am wondering i will be installing SLP LT, 3in. X-Pipe and, Magnaflow 4x9's will my car sound alittle quieter than his or will it be roughly the same cause i noticed he has the TSP true duals.

I would say the tsp duals would be louder. :)

The clip sounds awesome. :D

We just put this cam in a buddies car. Made 391HP and 370TQ. With over 300TQ from 2800 to 6800. This cam is a hoss down low, feels great on the street.

Z-286speed Dec 19, 2004 07:55 PM

After you get that tuned, will you lose most of that lope in the cam?
Sounds really nice!

No. The hot-idle is set at about 800 RPM right now. With a tune I MIGHT even be able to lower it a tad. Lower idle = more lope.

Had a local guy from the board come by earlier to check out the cam and exhaust, and we went for a little ride. It was the first time I'd really gotten on it since the install, and all I can say is ":eek2:". I launched her real easy from a stop, and then dropped the hammer. As soon as it hit 2k RPM the tires ripped loose and the back end kicked out. The tires didn't start grabbing again until mid-way through 3rd gear. It was as close to a religious experience as I've ever had.

To anyone who has this cam on the way, or is thinking about getting one, you will NOT be disappointed!

Sweet, cam sounds mean

Z-286speed Dec 19, 2004 09:56 PM

What all did you replace with the cam? I need to know if i need that oil pump and chain? Thanks

nick3205 Dec 19, 2004 10:06 PM

It's not necessary to replace the oil pump and timing chain, but it's not a bad idea to upgrade while you are in there. I didn't, since I have low miles and the oil pump in the 01 and up f-bodies was better than in the 98-00. If I wasn't working within a budget I probably would have swapped them out, though. You definitely need to beef up the valvetrain. You could run a quality single spring with no problems, since the lift is under .600. I decided to go with the PRC dual spring kit from TSP, which came with the springs, seats, valve stem seals, titanium retainers, and hardened pushrods.
