Default Patriot Lock Fitment Issues, Maybe There is Another Reason.

This is the quote from another post. Who all has had problems with the super 7s not fitting? These are my thoughts and experiences.

"You might want to look at other things causing keeper fitment issues. The first set of Manley Valve I got for my heads either the intake or exhaust valve would not fit but the other fit fine (I can't remember which one it is). The locks would fit my stock valves, a set of truck valves from the 5.3s that are on my car right now, and the first set of Manley valves which was the valve that did not have the problem (like I said before I can't remember if it was the exhaust or the intake that had the fitment issue but the other exhaust or intake Manley valves did not have a problem. I Mic'd the Manley valves and found a variance in the machine groove for the keepers. I called Manley they sent me a whole set of new valves and I had no problems at all.

In other words the problem might be caused by the vary consistant nature of the bead loc in the super seven locks not being as tolerant to different size grooves cut in different valves.

Added a reply in the other thread. Good point about the weight. Also, maybe there was some fitment issues, just trying to point all the facts out.
