I just got back from a friends. He said you better get over here and bring your camera. It's an LS1 motor. What' the deal here. Roller lifter needle bearings? Internally everything is stock. What the hell would cause this?

Give him some feedback on what next to do please.

Yep, they are the needle bearings off of OEM rocker arms.

Most likely they're needle bearings from the rockers. Pull the valve covers and look at all the rockers. You might want to try an account for all the needle bearings just for piece of mind. I dont recall how many are used per rocker, but a search should set you straight.

Oh man.

Anyone who doubts the merits of aftermarket rockers may want to look at that pic.

We found 24 so far. It sure would be nice to get a count of what they start out with and find all them bastards. Red Line 10W30 since the first oil change I am told.

Damn! How many mile on the car and what kind of mods? What to do next is to get some rockers. Aftermarkets should sell themselves to you at this point.

Whatever happened to that company that was taking stock rockers and modifying them with a newer bearing design, and charging a core for your old rockers?
