Default How much rpms can the stock rods handle?

I did a search, but had no luck. I'm replacing my rod bolts with the Katechs, and one of the guys there was saying that I shouldnt push the motor past 7k rpms because the rod bolts will no longer be an issue, but the rods themselves will be. From what Ive read, the rod bolts are the weakest link in the LS1 motor. That is why Im upgrading my rod bolts. He said if Im looking to have 7k rpm shiftpoints, Id be better off replacing the rods too. So my question, how far can the stock rods be pushed? I thought that once I replaced the rod bolts, there wasnt much to worry about with 7k rpm shiftpoints, but now should I be worried about the rods?

One of the fast h/c guys on here (Fireball) uses stock rods with rod bolts and fequents 7000-7200rpm. I think you will be o.k. but it is still a gamble. Deffinately better then stock rods and stock rod bolts.
