Can't Decide.... Opinions needed.

I'm planning on doing a cam install soon, but I'd like to do performance mods in stages, where as a good friend of mine was advising me to do the cam and heads install at the same time, just to save myself the headache, wrenchtime and frustration. I have the money to do it now, but I wasn't planning on doing it so soon. I'd like to break the 400 mark with only a cam, and break the 450 mark with heads and a cam. This are the mods either planned or already in the mail.

MTI Lid, 85 MM MAF, KooKs LT, ORY, Hooker Catback, Spec 3 clutch, TSP 233/239 112LSA cam, and I'd undecided on heads. The suspension is already sorted out with full spogn components. Any inputs opinions and or advice would be greatly appreciated. Should I just go ahead and do the cam and heads at the same time (which makes the most sense anyway) and is there anything else I'm missing? The car is a 2000 SS M6. And what's a good set of stock size replacement tires, since I'll be using the money for my wheels to get the heads, I'll just but a new set of 275 series tires. Thanks inadvanced.

Yes, do the heads & cam at the same time.. You'll save some money if someone is doing this for you. If you're doing it, then it's your $$$$.

Tires which is your stock size right now??? I would look into Nitto's 555 or 555RII, Toyo's TS-1 or RA-1, and BFG and nice too.

Yeah it's the stock 346 LS1, and stock 17x9 zr1. I'll be doing the install.

Keep the stock MAF on the car.

I've heard keeping the stock MAF, but, just out of curiousity why?

I would do both heads and cam at the same time also if you have the funds. Make sure you count gaskets, bolts, pushrods, and tuning. The heads should come with springs and retainers. Also if you want to go to the track you should think about a 12bolt.

Because aftermarket MAF's are a PITA. A lot of tuners won't touch your car if you don't have the stock MAF.
