Car's back together! Well I did my heads myself and did some flycutting on the pistons. Everything turned out great. Got the car back together and took her for a spin and Whoaa! Some nice gains in the head work. Here are some pics. Nice job. Looks good. I would be interested in dyno #'s, and track times. |
Nice work :) |
Very nice. How hard was it to fly cut your pistons? Did you need to remove the engine to do it? |
What cam are you running and what gaskets are you useing? I have some heads shaved .040 also and am just curious. |
I'll have dyno #s at the first of april when my club has it's dyno day www.ufba.org My first track run before the work was a 13.8 @103.6 with a 2.2 60' at rocky mountain raceway so it kinda sucked, but I was on bad street tires so oh well. I didn't take the motor out to flycut. With the heads off there is more than enough room to do it! The cam that I'm running is TRs custom reverse split cam. I'm also using stock MLS gaskets. I could have used other ones but why pay soo much more to raise the CR .2? Not worth it. |
